The first time the piece was performed, the musicians were sitting under the magnificent rose window in the Nidaros cathedral. It is written for quartets on intermediate level and for svhool orchestras. The two movements called "I sollys-ilden"  (In the Sunlight - the fire! ) and "Figurer under rosen" (Characters under the Rose) are inspired by the pictures in the stained glass window. 3. violin and viola part.
